The course is provided for the students with the background in Optics or just for those who is interested in broadening knowledge in this field. So if you could be easily inspired just by thinking about how to reduce aberrations in optical systems or how to increase the resolution of imaging system, this program is definitely for you! The program covers such subjects as design of telescope and microscope objectives, eyepieces, lenses, illumination systems, laser beam collimation and concentration systems.

SCHOOL OF LIGHTNING DESIGN

During this summer school students become acquainted with the history and characteristics of the organization of the space of the city of St. Petersburg, during the creative workshops and field tours exploring the action of artificial and natural light, are taught the following areas: basics of lighting design; light in art and the urban environment; light modeling, as well as create their own light art object.

Bachelor level students in respective fields (not less than 3rd year Bachelor), Master and PhD students. Upper-intermediate level of English is required.
