With our school, students will develop the basic framework of knowledge and skills for their future professional work in archaeology. The Summer School of Archaeology in Abruzzo course is offered at University of Pisa.

About

Students will receive intensive cross-disciplinary training , with lectures, laboratories, two different excavations activities. Weekend archaeological site visits will complete the week program.

The course will last 4 weeks including a series of lectures that will turns into laboratory activities.

Laboratory activities will allow students to develop their competence on:

- Procedures for cleaning, consolidation, restoration, labelling, inventory and cataloguing of materials

- Graphic, photographic and written documentation

- Digital processing of the acquired data

Practical activities will be carried out in two different places, a prehistoric settlement and a roman site, to provide students with adequate methodological knowledge.
