Overview
In this Sustainable Buildings and Green Cities - Summer School at RWTH Aachen University, you explore the energy efficiency of buildings on a micro-level, and consider districts on a macro-level. You learn about building performance simulation and methods for energy supply of buildings. Dive deeper into energy trading and power plant management.
A district from the living lab project SmartQuart serves as a use case. SmartQuarts core technological element is the exchange of energy and intelligent networking within and between the smart districts.
This course is highly interactive and contain a lot of intensive and fun teamwork. Get an insight into Energy Performance of Buildings & Districts with the following hands-on topics:
- Lectures & tutorials
- Exercises
- Dynamic building simulations
- Plant operation simulations
- Micro- and macro level understanding
- Intercultural exchange & social events
