About

Day 1 and Day 2 set the frame for your work. We fully exploit the knowledge and understanding present at the scientific literature. In this preparation you are also introduced to the challenges of knowledge transfer.

The next 2 days set the international framework by focusing on the transfer of evidence and services to other countries.

On day 5 and 6 Representatives from payers, patients, providers and policy makers will visit the class.

Day 7 is focused on two dimensions: Industry analysis and Health Technology Assessment. You analyze the transfer from these two perspectives and develop implications for your value propostion.

Day 10 you work with completion of your value proposition, and of writing up the analysis underpinning your design solutions (see exam requirements below)is about value capture.

On day 12, during the morning you finalize and practice the presentation of your innovation, which take place during the afternoon of the same day.

Learning outcomes

  • Overview the organizational and economic viability of innovative solutions.
  • Plan and develop a value proposition for innovative ideas.
  • Be a valuable collaborator by being aware of the different competences that are brought into an interdisciplinary setting.

Programme Structure

Course design
The course builds on the Coursera offering Innovative solutions for aging populations. The Coursera offering has been prepared to train students in applying their learning in terms of tools and approaches for innovation. This on-campus summer course operates on the principle of “flipped classroom learning”.
