Course design

Sessions will include practical exercises, lectures, discussions, invited experts and exclusive visits to the Rotterdam museums, a commercial gallery and a private collection. The 5 days will be a mixture of theory, lectures, discussions and a game to make your own digital photography collection.

After 5 days of intens coursework on the many aspects of collecting, you will be able to build a photography collection more consciously.

  • ‘Technique & Conservation’. About photographic processes, assessmentof conditions
  • ‘Modern & Contemporary’. What happened after the 70’s?Postmodernism and the start of the digital age in the 90’s
  •  ‘Value & Investment. Introduction to the art market. The art of buying art.
