- English from Theme: Learn English by examining how language is used in a variety of different areas, including advertising, banking, business management, criminal justice, environmental studies, health, marketing, travel, and tourism.
- Field Trips: Venture outside traditional classroom learning with visits to local agencies and businesses, guest speakers from the community, walking tours of the city/campus, and trips to local points of interests.

General requirements
- Admission to the Intensive English Program (IEP) is open to anyone who has completed secondary school and who has already acquired low-intermediate level English proficiency (approximately 370-400 or 77-97 Computerized TOEFL scores). Applicants must complete an application and give evidence of financial support.
- Applicants must be at least 17 years of age.
