The HBX Learning Model centers around the Harvard Business School case method, featuring interviews with business leaders and executives from companies around the world who candidly discuss challenges they've faced or obstacles they've overcome. We ask you to step into their shoes and engage with your peers to work through these real-world business scenarios.
The case protagonists in Disruptive Strategy represent some of the best and brightest from the worlds of technology, consumer products, finance, and more. You will learn from Bill Hambrecht, Founder and CEO of WR Hambrecht & Co, and Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google, on the Google IPO; Joe Tucci, Chairman and CEO of EMC, on organizing for innovation; and Ryan Caldbeck, Founder and CEO of equity crowdfunding platform CircleUp, on disruption in the private equity marketplace; among others.

Disruptive Strategy consists of 30 to 35 hours of material developed by Clayton Christensen and delivered over a six week period with a flexible program structure. You complete the coursework, which consists of a highly-engaging mix of short videos, multimedia cases, interactive learning exercises, and written reflections, on your own time while meeting regular deadlines.
Two group exercises and an individual final paper are also required for course completion. All course material is delivered through the innovative HBX online platform. While there is no direct real-time interaction with the faculty built into the course, current and former students may be invited to special events, both on and off-line, where HBX faculty are present.

Successful applicants will have an undergraduate degree, or have successfully completed CORe, and demonstrate a desire to contribute to the vibrant HBX learning community.
