Credits
The course-credit system is based on the American Bar Association (ABA) guidelines. European students are able to earn ECTS points. Participants follow a set curriculum that earns them 5 ABA / 10 ECTS credits. Transferability must be assessed with the home institution.

- Applicants from countries where law is studied at a graduate level (such as the United States), must have completed at least one year of law school at the time the program begins.

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
Funding
Alumni, students from partner universities and applicants who are officially recommended by Bucerius alumni or faculty receive a discount of 15%. Some limited funding is available for partial need-based scholarships for highly-qualified applicants.
