Overview
The aim of the Summer School is to equip students from diverse educational backgrounds—both in technical-scientific and humanistic disciplines—with the specialized skills needed to initiate and develop projects focused on the accurate diagnosis and sustainable conservation of Cultural Heritage.
The program features lectures that cover the characterization of materials, techniques for assessing their condition, and methods for evaluating their state of deterioration. Special emphasis will be placed on the study of products and technologies used in conservation efforts. Each year, the Summer School will focus on a different theme within the field of Heritage Science.
The Summer School will be held on campus, in Pisa, at Dipartimento di Chimica e Chimica Industriale, Via Moruzzi, 13.
