Overview
By the end of the programme from MetFilm School , you will have an enhanced understanding of on-set practices and the technical requirements for camera, light, and sound. This course is suitable for beginners, no previous experience is required.
Why Take the Course?
Four-Week Cinematography course students will learn the basic sound theory, how to handle relevant equipment and record location sound, developing postproduction skills to further enhance the visual aesthetics of your content. Students will shoot their first commercial video that demonstrates their camera, lighting and editing abilities.
Four-Week Cinematography is designed to improve the understanding, knowledge, and practice in the following core areas:
- an overview of the contemporary screen industries from the perspective of the sound, camera and lighting departments
- the core principles of light and exposure
- the use of light, as a fundamental tool, not only illuminate but also to create mood and tone in support of the narrative arc of a film
- the analysis of a script from a visual perspective
- the development and exploration of creative and technical choices in an on-set, production environment
- understand working as a filming crew and the importanceof collaboration and communication.
