Qualitative methods represent a valuable and meaningful research approach in social sciences. The purpose of this Qualitative Research Methods Summer School- A focus on management and governance course at the University of Pisa is to introduce Ph.D students and junior faculty to the diversity of ways of conducting qualitative research.
In particular, participants will be introduced to different data collecting strategies (interviews, documents, visual data, observations, etc.), different methods of data analysis (content analysis, ethnography, critical discourse analysis, etc.) and they will learn how interpreting, evaluating and disseminating the findings of qualitative study.
Finally, a software tool (Nvivo) for qualitative research analysis will be presented and participants will be introduced to the use of it.

This programme requires students to demonstrate proficiency in English.
