The Blockchains - Theory and Practice course offered by Utrecht Summer School will provide the basics in both theoretical background and hands-on experience on Blockchain applications. It is important for organizations to continuously anticipate on technological developments that disrupt or impact their businesses. 

The programme

Blockchain technology enables organizations to develop their business models and processes in a revolutionary way. The course is aimed at students and practitioners who are interested in the theory and practice of Blockchains and don't have any prior knowledge on this topic.

Blockchains consist of dynamic shared ledgers that can be applied to save time when recording transactions between parties, remove costs associated with intermediaries, and reduce risks of fraud and tampering.

A running Blockchain application will be demonstrated and used to provide hands-on experience during the course. In this running environment a basic processes will be executed via Blockchain technology.

  • Utrecht Summer School is open for students with a minimum age of 18 and you don’t have to be presently enrolled in an university to apply. 
  • Utrecht Summer School offers academic programs on various levels. Therefore you have to be at least a bachelor student to be eligible to our program. 
  • Most of the courses are directed at currently enrolled students, but also open to professionals with an academic degree.
