Programme Structure

Students will...

… understand and use simple everyday expressions and basic phrases as well as learn to introduce themselves and others

… read and understand basic phrases, numbers, and the ABC

… write short texts about basic personal facts

… get an introduction to German grammar

… be introduced to German pronounciation and orthography

Audience

Our German language course addresses the needs of beginners. The content of the course follows the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for level A1.1 (beginners with no prior knowledge).

The course will be taught by experienced lectures from the language institute of TU Berlin ZEMS (https://www.zems.tu-berlin.de/zentraleinrichtung_moderne_sprachen/)

The general prerequisites of the TU Berlin Summer University are the following: at least one year of university experience + English level B2 or equivalent.
