For example, the protection of the rule of law and fundamental rights, digitalization of the internal market or internal and external (im)migration, climate change or Brexit. How far will the EU be able to turn these challenges into opportunities? The EU Law - Recent Challenges and Opportunities program is offered by Utrecht Summer School.

The European Union (EU) is a union of 28 member states and traces its roots back to 1950s. It has evolved considerably from a mere economic cooperation in a limited number of sectors of economy to a ‘state-like’ polity.

Programme Structure

  •  In this summer school course the focus will be on the recent challenges the EU's legal system is confronted with such as: protection of the rule of law and fundamental rights, digitalization of the internal market, external and internal (im)migration or Brexit.
