Overview
The American Language Program at Columbia University offers a unique educational experience:

Whether online or in-person, community is very important at the ALP. We plan activities, events and workshops to help you make friends, practice English and get to know the city. As a Columbia student you also have full access to student clubs and University events. There's always something happening!

General requirements
- The American Language Program is open to any applicant aged 17 and older who has reached a pre-intermediate (CEFR A2) level of English proficiency.
- The ALP only accepts applications submitted online from this website. No applications from online third-parties will be accepted.
- The one-time application fee to the ALP is $150, non-refundable. Full-time programs also require a $350 tuition deposit, non-refundable.
