Before a producer, director or editor can start work on a project, the screenwriter must develop a creative and interesting concept. Blending the requirement for an engaging narrative with an idea that will work on screen, the art of screenwriting is a unique challenge that requires creativity and a thorough understanding of screenwriting and genre conventions.
This 10-week course explores all the major elements of dramatic scriptwriting and will have you penning the next big thing for the silver screen in no time.
Programme Overview
Each evening, a different area of skill will be studied using presentations and relevant examples. Individual ideas/projects are welcome to be shared for group feedback discussions.
Students of the Scriptwriting for Film and TV programe from Arts University Bournemouth shall explore working to a brief: treatment, synopses, adaptations. You will receive practical advice on layouts and presentation of scripts and carry out analysis of key sequences from a variety of films.
Students shall examine and understand the demands and expectations of the industry, which includes how to sell yourself and market your script.
Programme Structure
Course aim:- Develop your understanding of historical and cultural influences and interior design styles
- Give you the chance to work from a brief and run your own interior design project – from concept to 3D
- Provide you with a sound understanding of concept design, mood boards and sample boards
- Enable you to independently space plan, source materials, furniture and finishes for your interior scheme
- Enhance your ability to communicate your design ideas in 2D and 3D and confidently present these to potential clients
