You may have experience of construction legal processes, but can you apply appropriate legal decision making? A course in legal rights and responsibilities will prepare you for any challenge.
After successfully completing this course in Legal Rights and Responsibilities at Nottingham Trent University Online you will be able to:
- critically review the key elements of the English legal system, including the identification and application of recognised legal sources and criminal and civil liability
- discuss, analyse, critically evaluate and apply key torts – including negligence, occupier’s liability and nuisance to construction projects
- discuss, analyse, critically evaluate and apply the key principles of dispute resolution, including court action, arbitration, adjudication, mediation and conciliation as they impact on construction disputes.

- You should have at least a 2:2 honours degree in a construction or industry-related subject. Alternatively, you should have a minimum of three years’ professional experience and the support of your employer to integrate study and projects into your day-to-day work.
- The ideal candidate is likely to be employed on significant infrastructure or building works, with experience of developing and co-ordinating projects.
