Overview
Today, advertising money confidently started to move from paper media, radio, and TV to online. Business appreciates an ability to see the specific reports, what amount of people have seen ads, how many people reacted on them by clicking the link, or making a purchase. Such control over advertising expenses never was proposed by traditional media.
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social networks show us billions of ads. By clicking them, a user usually is moved to a special web page, called a landing page. A goal of the landing page is conversion: it aims to convert the user into a subscriber, buyer, or consumer of a product or service.
In this course, the students will learn how to design the web landing-page that can be used for entrepreneurship. We will go over the whole design process, starting by identifying the business needs, value proposition, and users’ needs. We will model the potential users and define the best scenarios of usage of the page. We will cover the concepts of Information architecture, adaptive design, page layout design, and grids. We will also touch the behavior change techniques that help to attract the users. The students will get systematic knowledge about using fonts and colors and at the end of the course will be informed about the most popular web development frameworks.
