Overview

The Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) offers a new summer course addressed to foreign students who want study Spanish and discover the European and Mediterranean culture in an extraordinary placement: Barcelona. This program offers a unique experience where academic learning will be combined with a rich cultural program.
The course will have a duration of 60 hours over three weeks and will offer the following subjects:
Spanish as a Foreign Language 30 hours
European Studies (Spain and the European Union) 10 hours
Mediterranean Studies 10 hours
Barcelona Workshop 10 hours
Classes are taught in English / Spanish, depending on the level of Spanish of the students.
As a complement to the academic offer, excursions to relevant cities nearby Barcelona will be offered:
Girona: one the most important and beautiful medieval towns in Catalonia, with traces of a rich coexistence of cultures and religions.
Tarragona: located by the Mediterranean sea, the city of Tarragona comprises a history of more than 2.000 years, with ancient Roman ruins, gothic buildings and modern architecture.
Penedès vineyards: Penedès is the richest region or wine in Catalonia, and a visit to one of its best wineries will be included in this excursion.
