Overview

Explore the individual and social responses to the initial COVID-19 lockdown and gain insight into the long-term consequences for children and adolescents.

The Long-Term Impact of COVID-19 on Mental Health - Where to From Here workshop uses the emotional epidemic curve to assist with understanding the onset of post-pandemic mental health challenges. Investigate the role that disaster psychiatry plays during a pandemic. Explore the role of mental health in a post-pandemic society.

Certification

Upon completion, you will receive a digital certificate of completion as evidence of the skills and knowledge demonstrated. This CPD workshop has been designed for psychologists, counsellors, psychometrists and other mental health practitioners to understand the impact of COVID-19 on mental health.

Accreditation

Lecturers

Anita Kriel is a clinical psychologist who has been published in numerous academic journals, both nationally and internationally.

She started her own private practice in 2005 and works with adults and adolescents in out-patient and in-patient settings.

Anita is also a consultant for a long-term substance abuse rehabilitation centre in KwaZulu-Natal.
