Overview
Opportunities
With the ever-increasing influence of technology and its embeddedness into our social lives - it follows that business too will have seen great growth in the opportunity to leverage technologies to interact with their customers and direct their internal business practices.
This increased use of technology consequently creates increased points of digital data. Indeed, you might have heard reference to 'Big Data', a growing business focus as organisations find themselves with access to vast swathes of potentially meaningful data. The key word here though is 'potential' - without some initial review of the data and its characteristics there's no way of telling whether it may be of help or hindrance to the business. This is where visual descriptive statistics comes in! To make some sense of the data, we first want to visualise it and take it beyond numbers on a page.
An Introduction to Business Statistics, Presenting Data for Maximum Impact is offered by the Didasko Group.
