About the course
In the week-long format, your learning in this Modern Art History course at the University of the Arts London (UAL) will be supported by study trips to the Tate Modern and seminars at the college.
In the 10-week format, the first class takes place at the National Gallery, and the rest of the course is taught at Tate Modern. However, on some occasions we may visit other galleries.

What you will learn:
- This course will give you overview of some of the most significant shifts in art practice through the 20th century to the present.
- You will be introduced to debates in art and art history and engage with an exploration of stories and disputes that have coloured art practice in the past 100 years.

- Although designed to follow on from the Introduction to Art History that runs at the National Gallery, it is also suitable for those who have not studied art history previously.
