Overview
Caring for women with urogynecological issues takes place in all clinical settings; however, pelvic floor disorder clinics have been established to provide specialized care and treatment.
The care provided in these clinics encompasses a coordinated interdisciplinary team which includes physicians, nurses, physiotherapists and other health care practitioners.
This team of practitioners significantly impacts the quality of life for their female clients, and providing competent and coordinated care requires specialized education and experience not often found in an undergraduate program.
