Overview
If you are familiar with the functioning of PV systems and with the principles of operation of electrolyzers and fuel cells, in this course you will see – in real time – how all these components can work together in a cohesive system and how they can be scaled up to create a large power plant.
What you'll learn
After conducting experiments in this Large-Scale PV Systems with Hydrogen-Based Storage course at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) you will be able to:
- Design and assess the performance of large photovoltaic system;
- Understand the principles of operation of hydrogen production (with electrolyzers) and utilization (in fuel cells);
- Combine photovoltaic modules, electrolyzers and fuel cells to create small-scale systems capable of generating green hydrogen, and characterize the performance of such systems;
- Design and evaluate the operation of a large-scale system that converts the energy of sunlight into green hydrogen.
