What you will learn:
The objectives of the Environmental Governance and Policy-Making course offered by Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies are:
- Understand current and future dynamics of environmental governance (stakeholders, regulatory framework, science, nexus and trends, hot topics on the global agenda)
- Acquire a multidisciplinary perspective on environmental issues
- Develop your skills to include the environment in your organisation's strategy and formulate proactive responses to environmental challenges (e.g., partnership building, strategic foresight, system thinking)
- Build a network of environmental governance practitioners

- Global Environmental Governance, Food, Climate Change, Water, Energy, Human Rights
- Examine key structures, stakeholders, and regulatory frameworks for each area and environmental governance at large
- Dive into a unique multidisciplinary approach; look into the science-policy interface
- Discover multiple viewpoints on environmental governance from experts, policy-makers, diplomats, faculty, NGO and private-sector actors
