AU received CMA accreditation for its Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting Major in February of 2011. CMA accreditation recognizes universities that achieve high standards of instruction in management accounting. Graduating from a CMA accredited degree program allows you to bypass the CMA Entrance Examination.

The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. Students holding a Bachelor of Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, or a similar degree, may not enrol in the University Certificate in Management Foundations.
If your native language is not English, you must demonstrate English Language Proficiency (ELP) to take Athabasca University courses. AU accepts the following as proof of English Language Proficiency.
