Overview
Key facts
Have you been inspired by the latest trend in home sewing, but not sure where to start? Then this is the sewing course for you. Working in small groups, of no more than 12, you’ll learn everything you need to be able to make clothes (top, skirt, dress or trousers) from a bought pattern.
This Home Sewing and Simple Garment Making course from London College of Fashion will begin by analysing your chosen pattern deciphering the markings and terminology. You’ll discover how to layout and mark your fabric correctly, before cutting out your garment pieces.
Features
With the guidance of the tutor you’ll work your way through the construction process to create a practice garment, altering as necessary to ensure a good fit. Once happy with your garment, you’ll be able to recreate it in the fabric of your choice (time allowing).
