Programme Structure

Delivery and assessment

  • A placement test is usually conducted on the first day. Formal assessment of student achievement is conducted every fortnight of the programme.
  • Each of the macroskills is assessed separately and students are assessed on their range and control of the language in appropriate contexts.
  • The types of assessments include multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank questions, writing of various types of texts, short answer questions and paired interviews among others.
  • Students receive detailed feedback on their progress on a fortnightly basis. Our assessment system enables us to give students targeted remedial help in their identified weaknesses.
