History
With its approximately 5,000 students, the Faculty of Law of the University of Graz is the second largest law faculty in Austria. Its history goes back to 1778 when it was established as the third faculty of the University of Graz, which itself was founded in 1585.
Education
Students, instructors and staff learn and work together according to the principles of the biopsychosocial model, which places the person with all his or her needs at the centre of attention. In parallel with the training of future doctors and nurses, and research into innovative treatment methods and health-preserving measures, the health university provides high-level patient care. Not only do students gain from expert knowledge, so does the whole population. Both young and old can take advantage of this great range of knowledge in the context of media coverage, talks and a great number of events.
Research
New findings regarding the causes of disease, development of preventive measures and working out new treatments are a mark of the success of medical research in Graz.
Career
Scientists and academics are supported during all the phases of their careers by the University.
