History
Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University.
Education
Anadolu University has been a pioneering institution on many fronts. Most important of these is the success of implementing the distance education system. Today, the total number of students of the three distance education faculties is over 2 million. The success in the development of this system has been taken as a model by many institutions in various countries.

Sports facilities
Located on Yunus Emre Campus, this center includes sauna, step, aerobics and gymnastics halls and a vitamin bar as well as the latest equipment for body building and exercising. Gymnastics hall provides services to total 24 people at the same time and sauna to 10 people.
ACT, its US-NECHE accredited and EU validated tertiary division, an institution of higher learning offering Bachelor's and Master's degrees in a variety of fields, alongside an Entrepreneurship Hub and a Lifelong Learning Center.
