The International Graduate Center (IGC) was founded by the University of Applied Sciences Bremen as an interdisciplinary Graduate School for Management and Leadership. Since the International Graduate Center’s founding in 2004, its number of students has been continuously increasing.
For applicants with a first university degree the International Graduate Center offers several MBA and master degrees in the area of international and European business and management. With six full-time and three part-time master programs the IGC has among the largest range of international master and MBA courses of all graduate schools in Germany.
At Hochschule Bremen - International Graduate Center, joint research is combined with academic excellence.
While writing a Master thesis is supposed to show your research and academic writing skills, this may only be the beginning. If you enjoy doing research, a PhD (doctorate program) might be a good option for you after your studies at the IGC.
Graduates from IGC are sought after, as their regular alumni surveys show. An international degree from IGC will both enhance the skills and broaden the professional and personal network. IGC’s own Career Development Service supports students and graduates in mapping their own career path and offers personal consulting, seminars, and forums with practitioners to help students identify potential future careers.
Living and studying in another country is both exciting and interesting. At the same time it means a lot of organizational and administrative work. When you come to study at the International Graduate Center you do not need to worry about this. The student service looks after you right from the start.
The international student assistance (ISA) takes on the task of finding accommodation, giving support with visa applications, clarifying insurance queries and helping you in dealing with authorities both at home and abroad.
The ISA Office offers its support when you are looking for a flat or a room. From experience we can say that the housing market is especially tense at the beginning of each semester.
Therefore we recommend to start with the accommodation matter as soon as possible. After having received the admission letter, the ISA will support you with information and contact details of several private and commercial landlords in Bremen.
While coming to Bremen one requires health insurance but after reaching Bremen students will be provided with a health insurance from a German company which would be more beneficial for the students.
The historic building, standing under monument protection, is situated in an ideal location – not only because the bus and tram station is directly in front of the building, but also because it is just a short walk away from the Neustadtswall campus with all central buildings including the canteen of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences.
Despite the campus’s location in the heart of Bremen city, students will benefit from being surrounded by green areas and parks. The fully renovated new class rooms will captivate with high ceilings and large window areas creating a pleasant learning atmosphere.
ISA is the International Students Association hired by Hochschule Bremen and is responsible for taking full care of the international students enrolled in different Master programs.
As a Graduate School of a German State University they regularly have the curricula accredited by an external accreditation agency (ZEvA, AQAS) which are part of the European Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). In addition the International Graduate Center is currently undergoing AACSB accreditation.
Together with the ISIC Association and British Council IELTS, StudyPortals offers you the chance to receive up to £10000 to expand your horizon and study abroad. We want to ultimately encourage you to study abroad in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.
