History

Les Roches was founded in Switzerland in 1954 and today we have earned our place among the world’s pre-eminent hospitality business schools. The Marbella campus was opened in 1995 and we became part of the Sommet Education umbrella in 2016.

Education

Les Roches is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), while Les Roches Crans-Montana is recognized as a degree-awarding institution by the education department of the Canton of Valais.

The Les Roches name is known and trusted the world over, and the biggest brands in hospitality and beyond come to us when they are looking for fresh talent. We receive around 300 visits to our Swiss and Spanish campuses every year to recruit students for internships and full-time roles. Every Les Roches student benefits from the personalized attention of our dedicated Career Services team, with a commitment that extends beyond graduation.

Housing services

  • Les Roches Crans–Montana has 18 residential buildings situated on campus, each of them just a short walk away from our restaurants, bars and academic facilities.   
  • Les Roches Marbella’s student residence is located next to the main campus building.
  • It offers a range of single, double or triple room options, with rooms featuring en suite bathroom, study desk, air conditioning and safety deposit box. 

Library services

The professionally-staffed school library contains more than 6,000 books and professional publications, while students can also access an online library featuring more than 135,000 eBooks, plus thousands more online publications and academic papers.

ICT services

Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus and there are laundry facilities (with free laundry for practical uniforms) as well as communal areas for hanging out with friends. These include the new Student Club situated in the campus gardens. 

Medical services

Health and wellbeing support is provided by our in-house Health & Wellbeing Team (nurses, counselor) daytime during the week, and doctor’s appointments can also be arranged by the team.

After hours and at weekends, campus security provides basic medical first-aid and – thanks to its 24-hour security presence – ensures a fully secure campus environment.

Sports facilities

With year-round sunshine and an enviable microclimate that offers average annual temperatures of 19°C (66.2°F), outdoor activities help our students to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

For those who seek more mindful pastimes, yoga and Pilates are both available through your complimentary membership of the Manolo Santana Racquets Club.
