Student services
The Office of Student Life (OSL) assists students in developing into well-rounded individuals through community service, co-curricular programming and social events.
We organize New Student Orientation, Convocation, Family Weekend, Spirit Week, Clarkson's Got Talent, MLK Day of Service, community service and Late Knights. We also bring lectures and films to campus, fund field trips, develop co-curricular programs and connect faculty, students and alumni.
Housing services
Clarkson University offers residences from traditional to apartment style housing. The self-catered apartment style housing which include: Riverside Apartments, Townhouse Apartments, and Woodstock Village are traditionally housed with upperclassmen and exchange students. Clarkson University does not offer graduate housing.
Library services
At Clarkson, everything you need to succeed is at your fingertips. You can start with the University Libraries, which makes research, journals and texts from around the world available to you. We have the latest technology resources. Each student has access to our hard-wired network, our wireless network, e-mail, labs and other relevant software.
Medical services
Student health insurance coverage is mandatory at Clarkson University for non-distance program students. Students must either have adequate health insurance through their parent/guardian, their own coverage, or enroll in Clarkson University’s provided coverage through United Health Care.
Campus life
Clarkson University’s main campus is located in Northern New York in the village of Potsdam—a classic college town located on the banks of the Raquette River just a few miles from the 6-million acre Adirondack Park. Clarkson’s main campus houses both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Clarkson University’s Capital Region Campus is located in Schenectady, New York. Centrally located to many of the University’s corporate partners for research, graduate education, talent development and alumni networking, the campus also affords convenient transportation via train, air and automobile interstates.
Sports facilities
Whether you're a tennis player, a jogger or enjoy taking fitness classes, Clarkson offers a variety of facilities to ensure that there is something for everyone.
The Indoor Recreation Center houses a gym; 25-meter swimming pool; indoor track; a field house for tennis, volleyball or basketball; racquetball courts; weight room; locker rooms with Jacuzzi and sauna; and a fitness center.
The Deneka Family Fitness and Yianoukos Fitness Center offers a full workout facility with an assortment of cardiovascular machines, a weight room and a list of classes, including yoga, belly dancing and aikido.
