Research

Portfolio, Programme & Project Management theme specialises in research related to project and programme management. The focus of the research interest relies in assessing real-life sectoral project management challenges. The applied research is focused on creating innovative solutions to real-life project management problems in a broad range of sectors. Theoretical work includes the development of new methods to enhance structural and management methodologies.  In this respect, our strategic research section focuses on the following themes:

The Career Development Service is an important part of the Student Experience support function. The team has significant real-world experience in the areas of coaching, recruitment, human resources and business development. Housing services

Cranfield School of Management offers both catered and self-catered on campus accommodation, from halls of residence to shared houses, apartments for couples to houses for families.

The School of Management provides excellent teaching and learning facilities, with comprehensive audio-visual equipment and 24/7 wireless internet access. There are spacious areas both inside and out, for breaks, work or relaxation.

Medical services

As a student at Cranfield, you will need to register with a doctor’s surgery and dentist as soon as possible after your arrival. This ensures that you will be able to receive timely care should you need it during your time here. 

Campus life

Set in the midst of the stunning Bedfordshire countryside, Cranfield offers a rich, rural landscape complemented by thriving towns, postcard villages and a great sense of prestige.

Cranfield University campus is 40 minutes away from central London by train, with nearest towns being Milton Keynes and Bedford. London Luton airport is the closest to the University, while Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted are all easily accessible via train and coach.

Cranfield Defence and Security is around 50 mins from London by train and around 25 mins from Bristol by train. Bath, Cheltenham, Bristol and Oxford are all within an hour’s drive and London less than two hours away by car.

Sports facilities

  • Facilities at the Cranfield campus include our sports centre, which incorporates a fitness centre and aerobics studio, playing fields, sports pitches and several tennis courts, while Shrivenham has its own golf course, outdoor heated swimming pool and riding stables.
  • At Cranfield, the fitness centre contains an extensive range of cardiovascular and resistance machines, free weights and an aerobics studio. 
  • A number of our sports clubs also operate within the multi-purpose area of the gym and compete in inter-university and local leagues.

Student clubs

When you join Cranfield, you will have a wealth of opportunities to meet new people and get involved in a wide range of clubs and societies run by student volunteers, such as the Basketball Club, Astronomical Society, and Musicians Society.

Cranfield School of Management are one of an elite group of Schools worldwide to hold the triple accreditation from AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) and AMBA (the Association of MBAs).
