University of East Anglia's International Summer School will run from 30 June to 28 July 2018.We offer a four-week international academic experience, with varied modules on offer, more than40 contact hoursand diverse teaching styles. There is the opportunity to transfer 20 UK credits.Explore Norwich, Norfolk and the wider UK during our extensive social programme and academic field trips.

Education

We offer a four-week international academic experience with more then 40 contact hours, convened by UEA academics, with in depth class discussions and varied teaching styles

We provide the opportunity to experience life on-campus, living in halls of residence as a registered student

We arrange unique opportunities to explore the UK during academic field trips and social excursions

Student services

The International Summer School is not only academically rigorous, but also offers an inclusive social programme that allows our students to get to know one another as well as introducing everyone to British culture in Norwich and Norfolk.We also offer additional weekend packages for those who wish to explore further afield; with a weekend trip to London and Cambridge, and another weekend trip to Bath, Stonehenge and Oxford. These social trips are designed around your academic timetable so you can always attend.

Housing services

Accommodation is guaranteed for all International Summer School students, in contemporary, private en suite accommodation in the centre of campus. Kitchens and living areas are shared with around 7 other students.

Each private bedroom includes:
  • Free Wi-Fi and data point
  • Single Bed
  • Main light and desk light
  • Desk and chair
  • Wardrobe and storage space
  • Bedding; flat sheet, duvet and cover, pillow and cover
  • Towel
  • En suite facilities; shower, toilet, washbasin and mirror

All kitchens include:
  • Combination convection microwave oven
  • Toaster and grill
  • Kettle

  • Fridge and freezer facilities
  • Basic cooking equipment with cutlery and crockery

Library services

The UEA Library at the centre of campus contains over 800,000 books and journals and is open 24 hours a day, as registered students all International Summer School participants will have access to these resources.

ICT services

During the International Summer School you will be given a UEA IT account which will allow you to access Blackboard, the online platform where information about your module may be posted.

The IT helpdesk, based in the Library, will be able to help you with any technical issues you may have.

Medical services

While you are studying at UEA, you will be able to use the on campus medical centre if you need to see a doctor or dentist. For more urgent requirements, the Norfolk and Norwich hospital is only a short distance away. It is essential that you have suitable medical insurance before your arrival to UEA. There is also a Boots pharmacy on campus where you will be able to get over the counter medicine.

Campus life

The campus was designed so that everything you need for living and studying is no more than a few minutes away.

The UEA campus is a mini city and home to a unique, multi-cultural community that enjoys and contributes to a lively social and cultural scene. We stage live music events, club nights, film screenings and much, much more. Here students can:

  • do their shopping and banking, visit the post office or travel agent on our Street'
  • have a drink at the Union Bar, eat at one of our Campus Kitchen outlets or grab a coffee at Cafe Direct
  • take part in all kinds of events including gigs by internationally renowned musicians and visit the inspirational Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts

Sports facilities

Here students can take up a new sport, get fit or join a team at our Sportspark, the biggest indoor sports centre in Britain.
