The International Summer School attract students from across the world and offers a truly global experience with students from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. Durham is a student city; wherever you go you will make new friends and meet new people, making your time with us unforgettable. This environment will allow you to develop new skills, enjoy a variety of experiences, increase your appeal to future employers and expand your world view.

Summer School students will experience Durham’s unique college environment, with all students staying in Collingwood College, a modern friendly college with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent facilities. Set ‘on the hill’, surrounded by wide open space with stunning views of the city it is a great location to fully explore everything Durham has to offer. Being one of the largest colleges it has its own café, bar, gym facilities, shop and dining room.

Excelling in sports, academia and the arts, Collingwood offers something for everyone, and always looks forward to welcoming new members to its community. You will live with and get to know students across all courses and other programmes, developing friendships that will last long after your course has finished. Accommodation and meals are included in the fees for the Programme.
