History
As the earliest institution of advanced learning and higher education in Northwest China,Lanzhou University was previously named Gansu Law and Politics School in 1909. Then the school developed to become Lanzhou Sun Yat-sen University in 1928.
Education
As we all know, Rome was not built in one day. It has been my firm belief that as long as we work well on every thing at present, we can accomplish something in future and continuously tend to the supreme benevolence.
Research
- Since 2013, LZU has undertaken 56 national key programs, including the Special Program of National Key Research and Development Plan, 973 Program, Major Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Science Foundation Program for Distinguished Young Scholars, Major and Key Programs of National Social Science Fund of China, etc. Besides, the university is also devoted to 867 programs of The National Natural Science Fund of China, with the accumulated expenditure reaching RMB 590 million.
