International House, located on Niigata University's Ikarashi Campus, is a residence for international students and researchers. It is for housing those new to Japan, and in particular those students who have come to Niigata University through an inter-university exchange arrangement. Most of the enrolled international students live in these apartments.
Niigata City is a beautiful port city with a population of about 800,000. Although the city allows people to lead their lives with comfort and convenience being a great domestic and international transportation hub, Japan's pristine landscape can still be found and traditional culture remains untouched.
