History
For more than 50 years, Kennesaw State University has been known for its entrepreneurial spirit and sense of community. Offering campuses in Marietta and Kennesaw, the university is located just north of Atlanta.

With 13 colleges on two metro Atlanta campuses, Kennesaw State is a member of the University System of Georgia and the third-largest university in the state. Ranked a top choice for students by U.S. News, Kennesaw State is a Carnegie-designated doctoral research institution (R2), placing it among an elite group of only 6 percent of U.S. colleges and universities with an R1 or R2 status.

Student services
Incoming first-year students can get connected to campus through the Center for Student Leadership, learning communities, and free academic support services like the SMART Center. First-year seminars are designed specifically for new students starting their college experience, and there are global education opportunities for students in their first year of study.
Housing services
Kennesaw state offers several on-campus housing options. All of our housing communities provide fully furnished rooms, individual contracts, all-inclusive rates, and high-speed Wi-Fi. All communities are in close proximity of anywhere you want to go on campus. Housing and residence life personnel offer support 24/7 and strive to make the on-campus housing experience memorable and meaningful.
Library services
The KSU Library System is open Monday-Friday from 9:00AM-5:00PM with access limited to only the ground floor computer labs. Please note, in effort to limit exposure, the KSU Libraries are only open to KSU students, faculty, staff and other USG students. ICT services
UITS provides KSU with the technology necessary for faculty, staff, and students to carry out academic collaboration, research, and innovation.
Medical services
Student Health Services is operated by WellStar Medical Group. WellStar Medical Group was founded in 1994 and set out to create a truly integrated health system.
Campus life
Owl Life is the web-based organizations and events platform used to access all 300 Registered Student Organizations, explore various on-campus departments' services, request KSU football tickets, voice your opinion in campus wide votes & discover events to enhance your student experience at KSU.
Kennesaw State University Student Media (KSUSM) is home to KSU’s student-produced media outlets, which provide news, information, and entertainment to the campus and hands-on learning opportunities for students.
Sports facilities
The Kennesaw State Department of Athletics proudly announced that the new KSU Sport Performance Facility was officially open for business for all KSU student-athletes as of November 14, 2011.
The facility is housed in the KSU Indoor Practice Facility on Big Shanty Road adjacent to KSU's main campus, which also houses the basketball, volleyball and golf indoor practice facilities. The 3,000-square foot facility features high ceilings, spacious workout areas and state-of-the-art equipment, including the addition of six treadmills in 2015.
Student clubs
The Kennesaw State University Alumni Association is governed by a 17-member board of directors that serve the initiatives of the University and represent the perspectives of a diverse alumni community.
Kennesaw State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor's, master's, specialist and doctoral degrees.
