Research
- In the last decades, PUCPR focused part of its investments on scientific production – and the results can be clearly seen. An example to be mentioned is for example PUCPR is responsible for 20% of all scientific publication in Paraná, a percentage that ranks PUCPR in the first place when compared to the private institutions of Paraná.
- The development of an expressive quantity of qualified research projects is essential for the recognition not only of the institution itself but also of the professionals involved in these activities.
- PUCPR has a special program of scholarships in order to encourage students to start the development of scientific and academic research.

Campus life
- In its 5 campuses - Curitiba, Sâo José dos Pinhais, Londrina, Maringá and Toledo - PUCPR has more than 30 thousand students and approximately 1,300 qualified professors, encompassing diverse areas of knowledge.
- PUCPR Center of Cultural Affairs encourages the expression of many different artistic forms, such as music, singing, literature, visual arts and drama; various events such as fairs, art exhibits, festivals, shows, expositions and workshops are also held on campus.
- By promoting these activities, PUCPR participates actively in the cultural life not only in Paraná but also in other states, aiming at connecting science and culture and participating in the development of the society as a whole.
