The names "Loyola" and "Marymount" have long been associated with Catholic higher education in countries around the globe. Saint Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, sanctioned the foundation of his order's first school in 1548. The Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary have conducted educational institutions since their establishment in France in 1849 by Father Jean Gailhac.
An LMU education takes students almost anywhere, to do almost anything. As soon as students set foot on campus, they are able to take full advantage of extraordinary professional opportunities throughout the city of Los Angeles – one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in the world. Internships and off-campus jobs expose students to real-world work environments that help them connect classroom learning to their future career aspirations.
Loyola Marymount University is home to 18 interdisciplinary research centers and institutes committed to living out the LMU mission through collaborative inquiry and collective action.
Career and Professional Development hosts a number of events, ranging from Career Expos and Grad School Fairs to Employer Information Sessions and Workshops. Fairs and targeted events are a great way to meet many recruiters in one place. These events are open, with rare exceptions, to all LMU students and alumni.
LionJobs is the complete resource for up-to-date information on events. Students and alumni can learn which employers and graduate programs are attending fairs and consult the calendar feature to learn what workshops and other career-related events are scheduled.
