The New Economic School (NES) is a privately funded graduate school in Moscow established in 1992. The mission of the New Economic School is to benefit Russia’s private and public sectors through excellence in economics education and research.

The New Economic School, founded in 1992, is a private graduate school of economics in Moscow. NES’s degrees are highly valued both in Russia and abroad. The mission of the New Economic School is to benefit Russia's private and public sectors through excellence in economics education and research.

Education

NES offers three academic programs: a two-year master program in economics, a professional development program in finance, and an undergraduate program jointly with the Higher School of Economics. NES is also active in executive education.

Research

NES professors, most of whom hold PhD degrees from leading American and European universities, conduct research in many areas of modern economic theory, such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, industrial organization, international trade and finance, public economics, political economics, auction theory, behavioral economics, growth and development, labor economics, corporate finance, theory of finance, and more.

Career

The NES Career Development Center was established in January 2008. The main objective of the CDC is to help NES students and alumni to succeed in the career.The crisis has hit the NES graduates’ job market. Employers are changing their recruitment policies, hiring freezes have been imposed and internships are being eliminated. The NES Career Development Center has been assisting students and alumni with job placement, career growth and personal development in this difficult environment.
