History
Haverford was founded in 1833 by Quakers for whom academic excellence, offered in a setting of tolerance and mutual respect, would serve a larger goal of "educating the whole person".
Education
Our rigorous academic program focuses on individual growth, intellectual exploration, and pushing the boundaries of each discipline. Most classes are taught seminar style with an emphasis on discussion and debate.
Career
The Center for Career and Professional Advising (CCPA) empowers students and alumni to learn about and prepare for meaningful work, as they translate their Haverford liberal arts education into a rewarding life. In short, we are here to help students explore, identify, and realize their career and professional goals.
