Superior Technology School

The École de technologie supérieure is part of the Université du Québec network. Specializing in teaching and applied research in engineering and technology transfer, it trains engineers and researchers recognized for their practical and innovative approach.

Education

ÉTS form 25% of all Quebec engineers and ranks second in Canada for the number of engineering degrees awarded 1 st cycle.

Research

Thanks to the support of industry and granting agencies, professor-researchers pursue a number of activities within the different laboratories, chairs and research groups of the School. Their work contributes concretely to scientific progress and to the development of Quebec's productivity and competitiveness, as well as to the training of a highly qualified workforce.

Close to 1,100 students live in the school’s residences, which feature furnished, heated and lighted apartments and studios that are equipped with Internet access.

Library services

The new ÉTS library opened its doors at exactly 8:30 a.m. on September 4, 2018, just in time for the beginning of the fall 2018 session. After more than a year of work, including eleven months when the library was relocated to more modest quarters in Pavilion B, the library employees threw back the curtain covering the entrance doors for the new library with great enthusiasm.

Medical services

Throughout your studies at ÉTS, if you should have a health problem in Québec, you’ll be covered by insurance. 

Campus life

The École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) is proud to announce that two new works of public art will soon adorn the two parks that will be built on its campus over the next year. 

The integration of works of art into public planning follows the conversion projects of the old planetarium, located at 1000, rue Saint-Jacques, as well as the construction of the new pavilion D located on rue William, two buildings which also include a park on their site. These two works of public art will be produced within the framework of the Policy for integrating the arts with architecture and the environment of government and public buildings and sites.
