ESTIEM (European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management)

History

Founded back in 1990, ESTIEM was established to connect IEM students all over Europe and provide them a unique platform. Nowadays ESTIEM is a strong network represented by 81 Local Groups from Ankara to Stockholm. All these independently-functioning local student associations organise Europe-wide and local activities, and represent ESTIEM in their universities.

Education

ESTIEM offers a wide variety of evens and projects with an educational component:

- TIMES: Tournament in Management and Engineering Skills- Summer Academy: A learning experience on ethical leadership under the guidance of a senior academic leader.- BrainTrainer: Events to develop your leadership, presentation, business and human skills- Europe3D: overview of a European country in 3 dimensions: politics, economics and culture- Vision: A Europe-wide series of event on a yearly chosen topic- Academic days: specialised seminar on academic topic- Business Booster: events to stimulate entrepreneurship, including the Summer Entrepreneurship Training and the Business idea competition

Student services

IEM students can become a member of one of ESTIEM's local groups. Most local groups provide introduction events and help for exchange students. ESTIEMers can attent training events to improve their skills. A mentoring programme is available for active ESTIEMers that are near graduation.

Housing services

We will offer 2 options for accommodation in the same hotel together with the students and one more option with more flexibility. There will be 20 places for option A and B respectively. Please note your preffered accommodation option in the motivation text while applying. First come, first serve for each option!

ICT services

The ESTIEM Portal offers an overview of upcoming and past events and is used for the internal communication.

Student clubs

Each IEM student can join one of the local groups of ESTIEM. Requirements for membership vary from group to group.
