Housing services
If you are accepted into an Academic English (under 21) or International Year One program, you are required to live on campus for your first year at Hofstra University. International students who live on campus will live in Colonial Square. It is the largest residence hall on campus with three courtyards where you can relax, study, and hang out with your friends.
You'll always have something exciting to do on Hofstra's campus. You will join an active and engaging campus community with 18 dining areas, 6 theaters and more than 270 student clubs to choose from.
Medical services
Hofstra is committed to ensuring our students remain healthy and happy. The Hofstra University Wellness Center provides wellness educational programs as well as short-term treatment for common illnesses like the flu. The Wellness Center has office hours every day during the semester. All international students are required to have health insurance.
Campus life
The campus is located on Long Island, a short train ride from New York City. You will be surrounded by some of the nation's top businesses, industry leaders and entertainers. Because of its location, students also have access to a surplus of experiential opportunities, internships and volunteer programs. Within one year of receiving their degree, 99% of graduating students are employed, attend or plan to attend graduate school.

Sports facilities
Experience Hofstra school spirit by cheering for one of our 17 NCAA Division I sports teams including basketball, baseball, tennis and soccer. Hofstra sports fans refer to themselves as “The Pride” when cheering on their teams.
