The American Musical Theatre Academy, also known as AMTA, has schools in London, New York, Rome and Belfast. We offer world-class musical theatre training taught by West End and Broadway professionals. Our programs are designed to specifically meet the needs of our students who wish to pursue a career in musical theatre.

About

History

The American Musical Theatre Academy was co-founded by Kenneth Avery-Clark and Christie Miller in 2010. AMTA was established to bridge the gap between the creative ideals of the West End and Broadway. It was also created to provide practical training for those specifically wanting to become performers.

Education

AMTA focuses on all facets of Musical Theatre – dancing, performing, acting, and singing. Throughout your time at AMTA, you will be taught by current West End and Broadway professionals.

Campus life

AMTA is within one large building spanning two floors and six studios. It is located within Zone 2 of Central London, just a two minute walk from Hackney Wick Overground Station or a fifteen minute walk from Stratford International Train Station.
