1924
- Northampton Technical College was established.
- St George’s Avenue building was opened by the Duke and Duchess of York.
Education
UNIC has a dedicated Student Services team based in the College. As well as dealing with any queries or questions you may have they also organise regular social events such as film nights, football tournaments and quizzes. As a UNIC student you also have full access to all the University of Northampton events and facilities. The University of Northampton Students' Union is one of only three unions in the country that have all clubs, sports and societies FREE to join for all students.

Housing services
We have over 2,250 bed spaces in our three university-owned Halls of Residence sites: on Waterside campus, in the town centre (St. John’s Halls), and Scholars Green Student Village. Each hall offers a variety of affordable, comfortable and secure room options including standard single and twin rooms, en-suite rooms, town house rooms, and studio flats.
Library services
Library and Learning Services (LLS) consists of the University Library, Learning Technology and Learning and Teaching Enhancement teams.The Library provides access to print, online and multimedia resources, including University generated research output, adaptable and IT rich learning environments, including silent and study spaces, and expert help and support in finding and managing information.
Campus life
UNIC is located on the University of Northampton’s Avenue Campus, close to the centre of Northampton and in the very heart of England, only one hour by train from central London and Birmingham.
