The UOC conducts research and innovation in the three strands of this triple helix. It is transdisciplinary and translational: it aims to have an impact on society, while taking into account the people who could benefit from it.
The UOC has 2 research centres, one centre for innovation and learning transformation and a Doctoral School and also conducts research in the fields of its seven faculties.
The University provides visiting scholars and researchers with information on the different types of accommodation available so that they can find that which best meets their needs and budget. This service is provided thanks to an agreement signed by the UOC with the Barcelona Centre Universitari (BCU). The aim of this service is to find accommodation (apartments, rooms in shared apartments, student residences, etc.) for university faculty, researchers and students from the rest of Spain and further afield who have come to Barcelona to study or carry out internships and research. The BCU offers information and help with finding accommodation in Barcelona and all other non-academic aspects they are able to.
