History
Al- Balqa' Applied University (BAU) was founded in 1997, a distinctive state university in the field of Bachelor and Associate degree Applied Education, at the capacity of 47,500 student distributed into 32,000 at the Bachelor degree program and 15,500 at the Associate degree program.

The University awards the following degrees to various disciplines recognized by the Council of Higher Education in Jordan and by the Federations of Arab Universities, International Universities and all local and international academic bodies.

Medical services
The Medical Department has been established since the founding of the University, where it began to provide its services to students and staff in the faculties of the University Center from clinical examination of patients and the disbursement of treatment for them and give sick leave in the necessary cases and provide first aid for emergencies.
